 Join us as we host a virtual summer camp for middle school aged girls (10-13) ! Similar to our on-campus experiences, INTech Scholars will have the opportunity to build a tech product with their peers and meet women in the technology industry. 

 

Students do not need to have any prior technical experience and all materials will be provided. If there is a computer or wifi need, we can assist with that as well.

Camp scholars will create an online portfolio that will forever separate them from their peers. 

Exposure to women in tech

Daily speakers where the camp scholars are able to see successful women in tech that look like them and whom they can relate to.

Tech Talks

Daily presentations about major companies in the tech industry where camp scholars will be introduced to different career options within the company and provided resources to get them one step closer.

Frequently asked questions

Are there scholarships available?

Yes, we are offering scholarships to those who identify a need. You may click the RSVP button above and select the scholarship ticket by Friday, June 19th to be eligible for a scholarship.

Is this open to girls outside of North Carolina?

Yes, please sign up and join us! Note that all camp times are in Eastern Standard Time.

What age group is eligible for camp?

Girls ages 10-14 or girls who are in the 6th, 7th , or 8th grades are eligible for camp. In the event that your scholar is a rising 6th grader or rising 9th grader at the time of camp, she is also eligible.

Will we need wifi and a computer?

Yes, should you need assistance with wifi or a computer for your scholar to participate, please email camp@intechcamp.org and we will do our best to assist you.

Are there refunds available?

We understand that circumstances change, if you must cancel then please be aware of these dates:

- Before Friday, June 11th, only a 50% refund of registration fees will be issued.
- After Friday, June 11th, there will be NO refund of registration fees.*
*In the event of illness or family emergency we will review each refund request on a case by case basis

Will we need to install anything on our computer for camp?

Yes, your scholar will need to be able to use Google Meet or Zoom for the times when we have meetings. If you haven't yet, install Zoom on your computer. Google Meet may require a plug-in on your computer, but there is not software to install.


Additionally, your scholar will need the internet and a web browser (Safari, Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, etc.) to participate in the curriculum.

Is there a discount if I have more than one student in my household?

Yes, we have a discount code in the event that there are sisters being registered from the same household. E-mail camp@intechcamp.org if you'd like to use the discount code.

SPEAKERS

The INTech Foundation, Inc. targets Black, Latinx, and Native American girls who are in middle and high school. It is designed to inform them about the fundamentals of technology and how it relates to their everyday lives; inspire them to engage with women in the technology industry; and provide resources to innovate a technology product (i.e., website, mobile application).
